NAPLES,
Fla., Aug. 24, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Industrial Nanotech,
Inc. (Other OTC: INTK.PK - News ),
a leader in the development and commercialization of nanotechnology related
products, today announced that the Company has signed a development agreement
with a leading scientific group to produce a prototype of, and the high volume
manufacturing equipment specifications for, a re-engineered version of the current
nanocomposite used by Industrial Nanotech, to target the automotive industry.
The re-engineered version of Nansulate(tm) is being
designed for use in the interior of automobiles to
provide additional thermal insulation, thus reducing
fuel consumption by reducing an air conditioning
system's workload. The Companies will work together
to develop the manufacturing equipment and processes
required to produce the material in volumes sufficient
to supply the anticipated demand for this new product.
The new particle is the subject of patent applications
filed by the inventor, Stuart Burchill, CEO of Industrial
Nanotech, Inc., in February of 2004.
Industrial Nanotech CEO, Stuart Burchill, stated,
``We believe that Industrial Nanotech can develop
a technology that will keep car interiors cooler
in warm weather, thus conserving fuel and reducing
an automobile's energy consumption. Additionally,
we are confident that the cost of integrating this
composite into current manufacturing processes will
be commercially viable and enable us to target automotive
OEM's for incorporation into their product lines.
With the current energy crisis in this country, such
a product could generate substantial demand, potentially
altering the automobile manufacturing process.''
Management
believes that the potential of this product to
save energy and reduce fuel consumption will allow
the Company to expand its current product offerings
and target markets to include the automotive industry.
Industrial Nanotech's existing product line of Nansulate(tm)
Translucent coatings provides superior thermal insulation
and prevents corrosion under insulation, a debilitating
problem that affects several industries including
Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals and Shipbuilding.
