Belgium, September 24, 2004— Nanocyl S.A., a Belgian
nanotechnology company and leading producer of carbon
nanotubes in Europe, announces today that subsequent
to a 47.1% subscription of new shareholders, the company
has continued to reinforce its growth resulting in
a capital increase of three million euros (3.62 M
USD).

recently was honored for its outstanding entrepreneurial
expertise, proactive business model, and precise understanding
of the industry by receiving the 2004 Frost &
Sullivan Entrepreneurial Company Award. Each year,
this Award acknowledges the company that has established
exceptional entrepreneurial ability in its industry.
Additionally, it certifies that the company’s marketing
strategy is sound and poised for success.

increase will allow us to install the necessary equipment
to our brand new pilot plant that will permit us to
produce tons of carbon nanotubes per year" said
Dominique Jozeau CEO of the company. "The new
production capacities and subsequent price decrease
will open the door to first applications requiring
larger volumes of high quality carbon nanotubes".
Developed in February
of 2002, Nanocyl S.A. was created based on the research
work of the University of Namur and a collaboration
with the University of Liege. Currently, Nanocyl S.A.
employs 12 employees, however, the company foresees
an increase in staff within the next two years to
maintain the continuously evolving expansion of the
company. Sustaining the expansion of Nanocyl S.A.
is a pilot unit, which will be constructed in its
new location, Sambreville, Belgium.
In 2003, Nanocyl S.A.
developed an international network of partners with
over 80% of its sales outside Europe, specifically
in Japan and in the USA with top 100 R&D spenders
companies.
