Emergency Filtration to Donate NanoMasks to International Committee of the Red Cross and CARE for Tsunami Relief Effort

HENDERSON, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 30, 2004--Emergency Filtration Products Inc. (EFP) (OTCBB: EMFP) today announced that it is making an initial donation of 1,000 of its NanoMasks to the international relief agencies International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and CARE. This donation is being made to assist with the emergency response under way in countries affected by the recent disaster caused by a magnitude 9.0 earthquake off the coast of Sumatra Island, Indonesia, which sent massive tsunamis across the Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean, and, which is resulting in a death toll that is estimated to reach more than 100,000.

The initial shipment will be sent from Taipei, Taiwan, where EFP maintains an inventory of NanoMasks and a production line at Weise Labs Inc.'s facilities. Weise Labs is EFP's nonexclusive partner in the manufacture and distribution of NanoMasks in the Pacific Rim. EFP relocated its inventory and production equipment to Weise Labs' facilities following the expiration of its lease at an independent production facility.

"One of the challenges that affect the stricken countries will be to control the spread of diseases that arise from handling the large number of corpses that have resulted from this catastrophe," said Douglas K. Beplate, president, EFP. "If we can help relief workers deal with this challenge, even in a modest way, we are pleased to be able to make a contribution."
