announced that Stuart Pulvirent has joined the firm
as a managing director and senior research analyst
focused on nanotechnology and life sciences. Pulvirent
will serve as one of Wall Street's first analysts
focused exclusively on nanotechnology. In his new
position at ThinkEquity, Pulvirent will head ThinkEquity's
healthcare research group and work to enhance its
growing reputation.
Pulvirent brings 20 years of investment experience
to ThinkEquity. Prior to joining the firm, he was
a founding member of the hedge fund Axia Capital Management.
He also held research management and training roles
at Lehman Brothers and Zweig-DiMenna Associates. A
winner of Institutional Investor All-Star Honors for
six consecutive years, Pulvirent also was named to
the Wall Street Journal All-Team in his only year
eligible. Also in 1997, he pioneered investment research
on materials science and nanotechnology. Pulvirent
earned his M.B.A. from The Wharton School and holds
a degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern
University.
